Irish Pubs in LA for St. Patrick’s Day

Looking to celebrate your Irish roots this year, or maybe just join in on the fun of being Irish? We’ve got you covered with a list of some of our favorite Irish pubs in LA so you can go out and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

O’Brien’s Irish Pub

A mainstay of the Santa Monica nightlife on Main Street, and always a ready-made good time, O’Brien’s Irish Pub is a great place to head for St. Patty’s Day. There’s almost always a good live band that plays in the back. There’s a patio area that’s perfect when the night is beautiful. And there’s a pretty spacious interior for hanging around the bar. If you’re on the Westside, hit up O’Brien’s.

PS, there’s also one on Wilshire.

Molly Malone’s

Molly Malone’s is another staple of the Irish Pub scene in LA, this one is right next to the Miracle Mile and Mid-Wilshire. It has a large and separate stage room specifically for bands and shows, while the main bar is good-sized with a lot of seating room and three dart boards. The staff is great and the Irish Coffee is always spot-on.

Casey’s Irish Pub

Head into downtown, walk down a flight of stairs, and enter Casey’s Irish Pub. Large and spacious (it’s 10,000 sq ft), Casey’s Irish Pub has a long indoor section as well as a large outdoor section for playing games like darts and ping pong. They’re got pickle backs with their own special made pickle juice (if you’ve never had one, you’re in for a treat), and they’re open early. So get your drink on.

Ireland’s 32

We’ve hit Santa Monica, Mid-Wilshire, and Downtown, so now we’re heading into the Valley. And if we’re looking for Irish pubs in the valley, then we have to go to Ireland’s 32. A small(er) establishment than the ones listed above, but that gives is a nice, cozy feeling when you step inside. It has a perfect dive-bar atmosphere where there’s sometimes a band on stage. They also have food and a large selection of ciders to keep you going through the night.

Tom Bergin’s Tavern

Located pretty close to Molly Malone’s (I always wondered how these two stay in business so close together. Guess they’re just that much fun), Tom Bergin’s is another great Irish pub to spend St. Paddy’s Day, or any day for that matter. They also have Guinness Ice Cream. Honestly, who want to at least try Guinness Ice Cream. You should definitely try it at least once, and you should also definitely try Tom’ Bergin’s.

Rock & Reilly’s

Imagine an Irish Pub, now imagine it in West Hollywood, and you have Rock & Reilly’s. It has a slightly more “upscale” feel than the others, but don’t let that put you off. The drinks are still top-notch and the atmosphere is fun and exciting. If you can’t be bothered to venture out to other areas of LA but are still looking for a great time, hit up Rock & Reilly’s.

So go out and have fun this St. Patrick’s Day. Leave us a comment below and don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. And please, be safe. You don’t want to count on the luck of the Irish.
